Daman

Introduction

Daman is situated 80 km southwest of Kathmandu, at an altitude of 2322 km and rests between the northern slope of the Mahabharat range between Kathmandu and Hetauda. From Daman we can see the panoramic view of Himalaya, stretching 400 km, from Dhaulagiri in the west to the Everest in the east. You can have the majestic view of 8 of the 10 highest peaks of the world. Daman is also a famous place for view of Sunrise and Sunset.

1 Night / 2 days program

Day 1:

  • KTM – Daman self transfer or micro bus is available (no tourist coach). Self hike around Daman including Gupteswor Mahadev ( 30 min walk), breathtaking views, can collect different types of vegetations that directly help for different disease like sisnu for sugar patient, tinpate for pressure, etc & evening fantastic sunset view.
  • Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 2:

  • Early morning, you can see tantalizing sunrise view over Mt. Everest, can see entire Himalayas range including 8 highest peaks of the World from east to west & then can hike surrounding villages.
  • After breakfast, self depart to KTM or 1.5 hour drive to Markhu / Kulekhani for lunch & boating in the Indrasarover lake. Then after, one can go Dakinshali via Kulekhani (max 2 hours drive), darshan Dakinshali devi, Buddhist monasteries & back to home.

 

2 Night /3 days program

Day 1:

  • After Lunch at Markhu, boating in the Indrasarover lake. Overnight at Markhu.

Day 3:

  • After breakfast, depart to KTM via Dakinshali, Dakinshali devi, Buddhist monasteries & back to home. or via Bhedafirm - Thankot (max 4/5 hours walk).

Kathmandu Valley Trek can be organize only camping (Tented Camp). On a camping trek you will sleep in tents. The staff includes a guide, cook, Sherpa and sufficient porters to carry all trekking gear. Even if you have never camped before, there is no need to worry that you won’t enjoy the experience. The tents we provide are roomy, the sleeping pads/ mattresses are comfortable and international style food of a high standard is freshly prepared and served. On all of our treks a bathroom tent is provided as well as a dining tent with tables and camp stools, providing a cozy, comfortable atmosphere to eat and chat with fellow trekkers during the evening.
